Sib Hashian

Sib Hashian was an American drummer, best known for his work with the rock band Boston. Born on August 17, 1948, in Lynn, Massachusetts, Hashian played a crucial role in defining the band's sound, characterized by its blend of hard rock and melodic elements. He joined Boston in 1975, contributing to their self-titled debut album, which became one of the best-selling albums of all time, featuring hits like “More Than a Feeling” and “Peace of Mind.” Hashian's drumming style combined technical proficiency with a distinctive flair, helping to shape the band's dynamic arrangements. He continued to work with Boston on albums such as "Don't Look Back" (1978) and "Third Stage" (1986), although he departed from the band in the mid-1980s. Beyond Boston, Hashian collaborated with various artists and contributed to several projects, including his own band, the Sib Hashian Band. His impact on music is primarily recognized through his contributions to Boston's legacy, which paved the way for future rock bands and influenced the sound of 1970s and 1980s rock music.
